A free guide from Elizabeth J. Harris
You've done the inner work.
So why do you still feel stuck?
You've prayed. You've journaled. You've sat across from a counselor and named what happened to you. You understand yourself better than most people ever will. And yet — "more" still feels like someone else's story.
You weren't created to stay here.

You know this feeling
- You've done the healing work, but purpose still feels out of reach.
- You know God has more for you — you just can't see the next step.
- You're tired of insight that doesn't turn into movement.
- You've outgrown where you are, but you don't have a map for where you're going.
If this is you, you're not broken. You're between chapters — and you don't have to write the next one alone.
The guide
The First Breadcrumb
One pillar. One hour. One honest look at where you actually are.
The Breadcrumbs Method™ has five pillars: Recognize, Reframe, Review, Respond, Repeat. This guide walks you through the first one, so you can feel how the method works before you go any further.
- A teaching on Recognize, the pillar everything else depends on
- Two stories from my own life — including the one I walked into with my head down
- Five guided questions, with room to write
- One small daily practice for the week ahead
It's short by design. A pen, this guide, and somewhere quiet is all it needs.
Why this pillar first
Recognize has two stages
Looking back with intention
Your past is a trail of preparation. This stage trains your eyes to read what has already been placed in your hands — the ordinary things you walked past because they didn't look like much when they arrived. You can start here today.
Catching it in the dark
With practice, the pillar matures. You start noticing the breadcrumb while you're still standing in the middle of the season, before you know where it leads. The lag between living it and seeing it gets shorter.
The guide gets you through the first stage. Everything after that is practice.

Who I wrote this for
This is for the woman who came through something and is asking what now. She's already done the interior work — the prayer, the journaling, the counselor's office, sometimes for years. She knows her story. She's still standing in a place where the next step isn't clear.
If you're in the middle of the worst of it right now, I'd rather be honest with you: this guide asks you to look back, and that takes more distance than you may have today. Come back to it when you're ready. It'll be here.

You don't need the whole trail. You need the next one in front of you.

In the end it is good.
If it isn't good, it isn't the end.
